Managers scored 20 points above industry average during her tenure. Dolores was also at Google for 8 years, where she rose to lead the Global Manager Development team whose mission was for Every Googler to Have a Great Manager. The team’s work served over 6,000 managers and was featured in the best selling book, Work Rules! and on Google’s reWork site, which shares Google’s best practices for transforming the workplace. She developed critical talent leadership programs like “Leadership Impact and Presence”.
A graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, Dolores was recognized with the Holly Taylor Sargent Award for community service. She began her career in consulting at Accenture after graduating from Cal Poly SLO.

Nicole Patterson

Nicole Patterson has over 20 years of experience in business operations and human resources. She’s worked as both an HR Generalist and Specialist across staffing, analytics, operations, program management, learning & development, and compliance. Nicole began her career working in operations with the Managing Partner of a Stanford University medical practice. This gave her exposure to all elements of running a business and an opportunity to discover her passion for HR.
Over the next 15 years, Nicole worked in multiple roles in Google’s People Operations [HR] department, most recently as the Head of Planning & Operations in Google’s People Development [Learning & Development] organization. In addition to her professional experiences as a Google business leader and manager, Nicole facilitated courses and coached Googlers across the company and around the globe. She is a certified Hudson Institute Coach and currently serves on the board of the Idaho Women’s Charitable Foundation. Vic is a seasoned thought leader in education technology and learning science. He is currently a Sr. Advisor to the President of US Programs at the Gates Foundation focusing on Artificial Intelligence and Learning. Prior to the Gates Foundation, Vic lead a large initiative (The Learner Variability Project) working with the world’s top neuroscientists to map a learning genome and make the latest learning science accessible for all. He is an expert in how people learn, innovation, and scaling what works and has launched game-changing initiatives that have increased access to education and improved learning for tens of millions of learners in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa.
Vic previously consulted with a number of foundations and organizations on education technology. While working at the Hewlett Foundation Vic developed strategies and managed over $100 million in grants to launch and grow the Open Educational Resources movement and create and advance the Deeper Learning strategy. Vic completed a master’s degree in Education, Technology and Learning at Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania.

Michael is an Organizational Development Consultant and Executive Coach. He has served in a variety of leadership roles over 25 years of his career. He most recently completed 13 years at Google where he was an executive leader for the People Consultant team, an OD Partner for Google Cloud and Head of Executive Development Programs where he oversaw the design and delivery of global wide education programs for senior leaders. During his time at Google, he completed a one year engagement in Singapore, Tokyo and Sydney as the Head of Manager Development for the entire APAC region. He also was a successful leadership coach for senior leaders and people managers across Google. In addition to his time at Google, he has served in other leadership roles throughout his career focused on coaching and leadership development at Black and Decker, JetBlue Airways and the University of Southern California (USC) where he also received his Master’s Degree in Education.
He was nominated by his direct reports and peers and awarded two of Google’s top honors, the “Great Manager Award” (out of 6,000 managers) as well as the HR award for “Inspiring Leadership” (out of 2,000 HR members). He was also awarded the Administrator of the Year Award in his role overseeing leadership development programs at USC and won the top prize across all industries for a leadership development film he produced for JetBlue leaders and managers. A native of Milford, Massachusetts, he has also lived in Miami, New York City and Los Angeles before arriving in the San Francisco Bay Area. Three fun facts about Mike, 1.) He used to work on the original television series, “Beverly Hills, 90210.” 2.) He is a long distance runner having run 78 marathons, three 100 mile ultra-marathons and has successfully coached over 500 runners to run their first marathon/half marathon. 3.) He recently welcomed into his family triplet girls and a baby boy all within seven months of each other.
